About the project
This project began with the full demolition of the existing structure, allowing us to create a brand-new, large, modern property in Barnstaple. Designed with contemporary architecture and high-end finishes throughout, the building offers a sleek, stylish space ideal for use as a premium Airbnb.
Because guest experience is key, the layout and materials were chosen to ensure the property is easy to maintain, simple to clean, and durable enough to withstand frequent guest turnover. At the same time, the design had to impress—delivering the visual impact and comfort expected from a high-end short-stay property.
Constructed using an advanced ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) system, the build achieves exceptional thermal performance. The flat roof integrates multiple solar panels, complemented by an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) and an air-recuperation system, helping to make the home as energy-efficient and environmentally responsible as possible.
